I've become increasingly pissed off of late. Our country, founded on principles of freedom, which had flourished on the innovation of independents, has deteriorated into a country where corporate interests are more important than independents. Certainly there are areas in which innovation is still alive and well, and some corporations that are helpful and well meaning. But for every google, there are dozens of corporations whose interests are far from the common good. Disney, I'm looking in your direction.
Yes, that's right, Uncle Walt's fun loving company is evil. So is Viacom, so is AOL Time Warner. Evil might be a strong term, but I think appropriate words would have to include greedy, corrupting, close minded, bullying, and condescending.
At some point, I would like to finish this rant. However, I don't have time. I needed to vent some of the outrage I feel right now.

At one point, I half joked to Eli about founding a new political party. As time passes, I become more and more convinced that this country is in dire need of fresh ideas and fresh minds, the kind of people who would never be given a moments consideration by the leadership of the DNC or the GOP. Anyone know any lavishly rich liberals who could establish a money base for a third party without demanding control? Damn, me neither....
