It's Monday!

Mondays suck. But that's beside the point. This weekend was fun, friday was my little brother's birthday, so naturally I went to someone else's birthday party. Someone I barely know no less. It was Ed's Fiance's birthday, so I went to a party at his apartment (which is wicked nice), and had a great time. Lots of drinking was involved. Other stuff happened, and people were met. I could be more specific, but I can't think of anything that stood out. It was fun though, brett and sam were there, as was dov and brian. Also a few people who I vaguely know because they came in to tune up our solaris servers at the office. Also, I met this awesome dude named wayne. He's a big jolly black security guard at the building where Ed lives, and he designs RPG's, I think in his spare time. Jolly good fun. Also, I was ganged up on by a bunch of right wing people. I apparently was the only liberal at the party who cared to speak up on behalf of the dems. Although most of my complements for the dems were pretty backhanded. I hate them too. Less than the pubs though. Note: Do NOT get me into a political discussion when I'm drunk. I get loud and vocal, and I'm not sure I was entirely making sense the whole time. Still, I think I held my own against the 3-5 republicans who were arguing with me.

Also, I got to try out my new party idea on a few of the republicans, once the shouting match died down. I think it went over well. I'm starting to think I have a good idea here. Incidentally, how does the Populist Party work for a name? Any other suggestions?

Saturday was mostly spent recovering from the total lack of sleep the night before. Also, I modded my xbox (well, that started before the party, but I finished saturday). Wicked cool fun. Saturday night I helped my brother take his yearbook photo. I have to say, that kid is pretty damn creative. In case you didn't go to akiba, the yearbook photo is a huge deal there, because you get an entire page, and you can do what you want with it. It's can be pretty cool. His photo will be wicked cool, and when I finish photoshopping it, you can rest assured it will be posted here.

Sunday, I went out to microcenter to finish my purchase from a few days before. Thursday night, I went out to microcenter to buy some quieter fans and power supplies for my computers. I drove out there, and couldn't find the damn store. I called dov to find out where it was, and finally got inside five minutes before closing time. I picked out my stuff, and went to the front to check out. When I got there, they had already closed the registers, and apparently there is no way to reopen them. It sucked ass. Pissed me off royally. I would boycott the store except that you just can't beat their prices. Oh well. I got the stuff yesterday, so I can't complain anymore. I left my computer on last night for the first time in a year. It makes me happy how quiet it is now. I might do a few more minor mods to quiet it a little more, but I'm not sure yet.

After I went to Microcenter, I joined dov and brett at brett's house for some video game fun. We played X-Men legends, and introduced brett to the joy that is Tony Hawk. I haven't played it in a year or so, and I was really rusty. It still rules though. I have a distinct feeling I will be thoroughly addicted to it for a while (at least until Halo 2 comes out). It's kind of sad, because I have been surprisingly productive with my non work time since I moved to philly. That's all going to come to an end with all these awesome games to play. Oh well.

Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that my cell phone no longer takes incoming calls. Fuck. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and... umm... let the office buy me a cell phone.
