Two things... First, I got a kick ass new phone, the Audiovox SMT5600 smartphone. While I loath the fact that my phone has an MS os on it, I am in love with it. It's so cool. The screen is beautiful, it gets my contacts from Outlook along with my e-mail, it checks my Gmail account, and I can browse the web with it. It has a pretty good MP3/Video player, and a good calender. It also has bluetooth and voicedial, so I can make phone calls without any wires, and without pulling the phone out of my pocket. Oh, and as far as games, you can keep your solitaire or blackjack or helicopter games or snake. I have Tetris and Worms World Party on my phone. So much for reading on the train. Oh, and it also makes phone calls.

Second, You know what's super fun? Going to stupid websites that want you to send letters and changing the text so they have the opposite message. Case in point:

One million dads wants you to send a letter to hardees complaining about a sexually suggestive hamburger commercial. Personally, I don't really give a shit one way or the other, but the burger looks gross, and has 1400 calories and 107 grams of fat. I am not exaggerating. That's pretty much a full days calories and a day and a half of fat before you even touch your fries or coke (fat ass...).

Still, without even touching on that, the AFA, who are my new enemy, want you to bitch and moan about a woman riding a mechanical bull to sell burgers.

here is their original form letter:

Dear Hardee's Franchise Owner, I am highly offended by Hardee's mechanical bull commercial. It is degrading to women and not an appropriate message for our children to see. I implore you to use your influence to demand that Hardee's stop airing this commercial. Hardee's should not be in the business of marketing sex in order to sell hamburgers. Please take action to stop the damage this commercials does to the image of your franchise. I look forward to hearing that Hardee's is pulling this disgusting ad in favor of women and children.

Here is what I sent:

Dear Hardee's Franchise Owner, Please ignore all the morons who have sent letters telling you to stop this thickburger ad. I think their heads are too far up their asses for them to matter. Anyway, I can't say I really want to eat your burger, but that's beside the point. I think you should air it during saturday morning cartoons. And after school hours on every channel. I'm tired of the conservative right making a stink over nothing. Ignore them. Thanks. Actually, if you ignore them, I promise to buy more stuff at hardees. I'll even search a few out to buy food from.

Fun, ain't it? I think I'm going to find some more stupid letter writing campaigns to fuck with.

It's just shitty texting with the numpad, but I am decent at it, and I don't really text message or type that much in with it anyway... I just like that I can check my e-mail and sync my e-mail and contacts and calendar up to my cell.... Fun.

fucking with letter-writing campaigns looks like fun. you're right on: the problem isn't the ads, it's the product. some people need to get a life. [but not me, all my causes are worthwhile ::self-righteous grin::]

what was going through my mind was how much the model probably puked after shooting that commercial. I mean, riding a mechanical bull can only burn so many calories. Or maybe she had a stunt eater.

They showed her taking one bite... I kinda doubt she actually finished it. That burger looks incredibly disgusting. You know it's bad when they can't even make it look tasty on the commercial.
