Wow... that was an eventful weekend. Friday night, I thought Avi (my roommate/landlord) was having a dinner party, but I called to see if I could bring anything, and it turned out that it was planned for saturday night. Instead, I decided to not be lazy and go to the Reading terminal market and buy some meats and veggies to cook. I ran into Ali there, and we talked for a bit. Went home, cooked a nice little steak with an almond oregano crust. It was pretty good, but it needed something. Not quite sure what. I'll have to try that again I think.

Saturday morning, I woke up, thought about going to ikea and finally buying a desk, looked out the window and decided that it was a bad idea. There was a lot of snow out there. I had hoped that I could go out and beat the storm, but it came earlier than I thought it would. I was listening to the radio, and they had declared a snow emergency, so I went and moved my car off of walnut street, since they're supposed to tow everyone on walnut during snow emergencies. Saturday, I spent a lot of time hanging out with Avi and his girlfriend Anita, and some of their friends from out of town. Fun stuff. We basically ate a lot of food, made mulled cider with rum (highly recommended), and watched DVD's. That night, I went out to Ed's so with Brett and Dov so that we could drink ourselves under the table. We ate chinese food and talked and drank. Afterward, Dov and I tried to get a cab. Downtown Philadelphia after a snowstorm at 3 in the morning is awesome. I've never seen the city so empty and so quiet. It was amazing. Although getting a taxi was surprisingly hard. We walked a good 5-6 blocks before we found one. Actually, we found one earlier, but he refused to take us to west philly, because the roads were bad apparently. They didn't seem bad when we finally got there.

Sunday morning, I woke up to the wonderful sound of Avi and Justine (other roommate who is moving out) having a shouting match in the kitchen. This was annoying on the one level because I could hear it all the way on the third floor, and on another level because I really wanted to make myself an omelette. Anyway, once that scuffle was done with, I made my omelette and went over to eli's to watch the game. Except I got there at 1, and didn't realize that the game wasn't starting until 3. So we played snow football for a while, then ate absolute crap for 7 hours while watching football. It was awesome! Eagles are in the Super Bowl!!! Un-fucking-believable. After the steelers lost (sadly), eli and I went out to moriartys for some drinks and wings and fries (to complete the day of craptacular (health-wise) food). Went home, and justine had finished moving out. Anyone want to move into a place in west philly?
