Apr. 11th, 2005 02:33 pmAnother weekend, another load of fun. Lets see. Friday night Eli and Dave and I went out to see Sin City. It kicked ass. It's what I thought Pulp Fiction should have been. Don't get me wrong, Pulp Fiction is great and all, but Sin City is so much more badass. Out Badassing tarantino is tough. But if combining Tarantino, Rodriguez and Frank Miller doesn't create the most badass thing known to man, I'd be shocked.
Saturday, I spent the morning sort of cleaning, but mostly watching TV shows I downloaded. Then I drove downtown and picked up Avi and Anita and we went to Ikea and Lowe's. I got some stuff to continue organizing my room and kitchen and house, and we got a lot of gardening stuff. I bought a window planter thingie and a bunch of herbs. I'm going to try really hard to not kill them. There is more motivation this time, because if I don't kill them, I can eat them and make delicious italian food out of their bones. Leaves. Whatever. That night I went out again with Eli and Dave. We went to Brasserie Perrier for dinner, which is faboo. Supremo delicious. I had an awesome beer and onion soup with crispy pancetta, followed by steak and fries. Topped with deliciously plentiful whiskey. The food actually wasn't all that expensive. As it turns out, my drinks were. I should have just had beer. The beer wasn't that overpriced. Then we went out to McGillans to meet some of eli's friends. I keep ending up there, and I keep disliking it. It's loud. Too loud. I hate loud bars.
Sunday, I continued cleaning and organizing my room in the morning, then went home for the afternoon to visit the fam. And sign my tax forms. Fun. Then we went out for kosher chinese, which was decidedly less delicious than Brasserie. Oh well. That's life.
