Both excelent questions for which I have no answer.

My guess for time is either right after work, or possibly waiting until 6-7 for people who work somewhere other than center city.

As for where, the standard places are usually either mad 4 mex or The Nodding Head. Either is fine with me, or somewhere totally different... have any suggestions?

My two cents:

I'd prefer Nodding Head because then I could walk home instead of having to take a bus. Also, I tried to go there once when I was 20 and they wouldn't let me in, and I've heard it's good. Also, sometime like 7-7:30 would be good cuz then I can have a quick dinner with my grandmothers and then get drunk.

But obviously, the choice is yours, and the evening is about your enjoyment.

Ah! But candle lighting isn't until 8:10 this week, so you could come out before then. Or you could just come out and sit with us and talk...

As for the drinking... well... not much I can do about that.

I can't really go out beforehand. My shul starts services at 7 (I hate that, so much, but there's nothing I can do about it), and I don't even get out of work until 4:30 or 5:00. Something late and within walking distance might be more doable, but definitely not dinner-time.

Sad. I miss y'all.
