So, I haven't LJ'd in a while. I've been busy... and have fallen out of touch with quite a few people... and reconnected with others... Yeah. Been busy.

Here's a quick recap:

  • Went to NYC to see my old roommates, Lyle and Josh. Their new band, the Consequences headlined at CBGB OMFUG. It was a badass concert, and a damn cool band. They did a rockish cover of "Groove is in the Heart". Beforehand, I went to dinner with Elisa, then out for drinks with Anna, Rob, Matt and Camille. After the concert, I went out drinking with the band. Afterward, Anna and I stumbled around drunkly in the vague direction of the train station. Oh, and we stopped for bagels. I ended up catching a 3am train home, and still making it to work the next day.
  • The next night was Game Night at Dov's house. Many of you were there. It was fun. No need to recount it, but it was a good time, and we need to do that again soon.
  • For Passover, I went to DC and stayed at Alon and Rebecca's for wednesday through sunday. It was a blast. Melissa was there, who I haven't seen in a year or so because she was in Israel. I made a Braciole (Italian stuffed roast) for second seder. We went to the zoo, and walked around the national mall, and just generally had a great time. I need to go down to see them more often. And Melissa needs to move somewhere closer (which I hear is happening, so there...)
  • Spent a weekend in NYC. Hung out with Anna and my brother and my cousin on saturday night, and we all went out to a restaurant called Mara's Homemade. I finally had Crawfish. They were tasty, but definitely a little weird. The food was great. No doubt. Sunday, Anna and I went out to brunch, then I met Elisa on the upper west side, and we just walked and talked for a few hours. We saw David Blaine doing his dumbass "living underwater" schtick. And then we met Miriam, one of her friends, and saw MI:3. It was a great movie if you don't mind turning your brain off for a few hours. Thinking and that movie are antagonistic.
  • Saturday night, Lesley had a housewarming party (Welcome to the hood Lesley!). It was a blast... I have pictures and videos. Many of which I don't exactly remember clearly. There were no chairs, which lent the party a certain charm. We drank, and bought the last pizza's of the night from pasqualy's... they even sold us a pizza that was missing a slice because it was all they had left. And then at some point we decided that we needed to dance the (Michael Jackson) thriller dance... I have some hilarious movies of it.
  • For Mother's Day, my brother and I made dinner for my mom. It rocked. Menu was:

    • Arugula Salad with homemade vinaigrette
    • Apple Chipotle Rice
    • Roast Duck with Drunken Cherry Gravy served on top of a round of Fried Polenta
    • Deep Dish Apple Pie

If was all tasty, and definitely easier than figuring out what the hell to buy my mom for mother's day.

Ok, that's all for the recap. Hopefully I'll get back to updating this more regularly.
